DSTIKE Buying Guide

Find the right device for your project

Exploring Wi-Fi, running USB keyboard scripts, inspecting wireless settings, or building your own ESP32 project? Start with what you need to do, then compare the features that matter to your workflow.

Choose your purpose, confirm the required bands or script features, then compare controls, form factor, and package options. Extra features are useful only when your project needs them.

Updated September 24, 2026. Comparisons refer to the listed hardware and supplied firmware. Check each product page and selected option for current specifications, pricing, availability, and package contents.

01

Wi-Fi learning & authorized wireless testing

For wireless learning, network and signal information, or controlled testing in your own lab, start by checking which Wi-Fi bands you need.

First, confirm the wireless bands

2.4 GHz only: Consider the classic ESP8266 Deauther family, Deauther32 Watch SE, or HackHeld32S3. Choose around your firmware platform, controls, and expansion needs—not simply the generation number.

Need both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz? Start with the ESP32-C5 models explicitly listed as dual-band. Deauther32 Ultra includes an ESP32-C5 for dual-band capability.

Next, choose your form factor and controls

Dual-band devices: compare how you will use themSwipe horizontally to compare
Model Key difference Choose it when
Deauther32 Watch MINI Compact dual-band watch with a 1.54-inch color screen and internal antenna. Portability matters more than an external antenna connection or breakout GPIOs.
Deauther32 Watch MAX 1.69-inch color screen, external antenna support, and six breakout GPIOs. You need more display space or connections for compatible hardware.
HackHeld32C5 Dual-band handheld with eight application buttons: directional, A/B, and menu controls. You prefer a handheld button layout or plan to develop interactive applications.
Deauther32 Ultra Independent ESP32-S3 and ESP32-C5 controllers, each with its own color screen. You need separate controllers and interfaces. Simultaneous behavior depends on firmware.
Deauther32 Power Bank Dual-band platform using two replaceable 18650 cells, with 5V USB power outputs. You want wireless experimentation and portable power in one device. Check the battery option.

Exploring classic watches? Watch X / X II offer an ESP8266 platform; Watch Y II adds external antenna support; Watch Z II combines 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi assessment with ATmega32U4 USB HID development. They are distinct from the dual-band models above.

02

USB keyboard automation & scripting

For entering standard text, repeating keyboard shortcuts, USB HID education, or software testing, choose the script features first—then decide how you will store, select, and run your scripts.

USB automation: script support and workflowSwipe horizontally to compare
Model Supplied script support Management & controls Choose it when
WiFi Duck DuckyScript 1.0 Create, edit, and manage scripts in a browser. You frequently revise straightforward scripts and prefer a browser-based workflow.
White Ducky II DuckyScript 1.0 TF-card storage; six DIP switches provide up to 64 script-selection positions. You prepare scripts in advance and select them offline using physical switches.
White Ducky S3 DuckyScript 3.0 core features Upload or replace one active onboard payload.txt through the browser. You need supported variables, conditions, and loops in a compact USB device.
White Ducky Ultra DuckyScript 3.0 core features Multiple SD scripts, OLED filename browsing, on-device controls, and a built-in battery. You switch between scripts and want to select and run them directly on the device.

S3 or Ultra? Both offer the same category of core scripting features. Ultra adds multi-script handling, a screen, and on-device controls—not another scripting-language generation. S3 uses DIP switches for UART / USB mode selection; Ultra has separate interfaces without DIP-switch mode selection.

Downloaded scripts must also match the operating system, keyboard layout, and application timing. The current S3 and Ultra firmware uses a US English keyboard layout. Infrared remote operation on White Ducky II requires the corresponding IR version.

03

Wi-Fi configuration inspection & event alerts

Inspecting network settings and monitoring unusual events are different jobs. One helps you understand advertised security settings; the other alerts you when observed wireless activity meets detection criteria.

Model Main purpose Choose it when
Wi-Fi Auditor Inspect authentication, encryption, PMF, and other settings advertised by nearby 2.4 GHz access points. You want to understand your router settings without joining the inspected network or entering its password.
Deauth Detector V3 LED and buzzer alerts when qualifying 2.4 GHz management-frame activity is observed. You prefer a straightforward audible and visual alert rather than a color-screen interface.
Sidekick Lite USB-powered color display for compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi event alerts; no built-in battery. You want a continuously powered desktop status display.
Sidekick Wi-Fi event monitoring with a larger screen, battery, camera, microphone, and speaker hardware. You also plan voice or vision development; related features depend on firmware and service configuration.

04

ESP32 development & DIY

Planning custom firmware, external hardware, or new functions? Check GPIO access, display drivers, power options, and the exact project documentation. Sharing a chip does not make boards, pin assignments, or firmware interchangeable.

Deauther32 MINI

For dual-band ESP32-C5 work with breakout GPIOs and board-level access. Board-only and assembled battery-kit options are available. This is not Deauther32 Watch MINI.

Deauther32 LCD Kit

For a display-equipped project with a replaceable 18650 battery and hands-on construction. Choose assembled with a battery or unassembled without one.

HackHeld32S3

For ESP32-S3 applications needing handheld controls, a screen, buzzer, and GPIO expansion. Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only; games and other new applications require suitable firmware.

For classic ESP8266 projects, also explore Deauther MINI V4 and OLED V8 Kit in the development collection. Before buying, distinguish supplied-firmware features from functions that require alternative firmware, custom development, or added hardware.

05

Audio communication & other maker projects

Two-way voice: ESP32 Walkie-Talkie uses ESP-NOW half-duplex push-to-talk. Two-way conversation needs at least two compatible transceiver units with matching firmware and channel settings; it does not interoperate with conventional analog radios.

Listening only: ESP-NOW Receive-Only Speaker plays audio from a compatible transmitter. It cannot reply: one walkie-talkie plus one receive-only speaker is not a two-transceiver set.

Games and interactive interfaces: ESP32-S3 Programmable Handheld Game Console is a reprogrammable platform. Additional games and applications require programming or installation; it is not a commercial multi-system emulator.

06

Before you order

Once your purpose and essential features are covered, compare the device and required accessories together. Check batteries, storage cards, data cables, and assembly status rather than comparing starting prices alone.

Do I need programming experience?

Some assembled devices can be used with their supplied firmware without writing code, but still require the documented power, mode, or channel setup. Firmware changes, new functions, and external hardware need appropriate development knowledge. Confirm that your intended function is already supplied.

Does WPA2 / WPA3 support mean every test will work?

No. Scanning, monitoring, and active testing are different functions. Results depend on bands, channels, firmware, equipment settings, and protections such as PMF. These tools do not mean WPA2 / WPA3 password cracking or guaranteed PMF bypass.

Does 5 GHz mean 5G cellular?

No. It refers to the Wi-Fi frequency band, not mobile cellular service. Dual-band support also does not guarantee availability of every 5 GHz channel in every country.

Why is there no single guaranteed wireless range?

Obstacles, interference, antenna orientation, channel, and the other device all affect wireless performance. An external antenna, two screens, or a higher price is not a fixed-distance guarantee. Evaluate the product specifications against your environment.

Are batteries, assembly, and accessories included?

Check the selected option. Deauther32 Power Bank is assembled in both With Battery and Without Battery versions; battery inclusion differs. Deauther32 Ultra offers Assembled — Batteries Included and DIY Kit — Batteries Not Included, so both assembly and batteries differ. Check SD cards, data cables, antennas, remotes, and other accessories individually.

Can similarly named models replace one another?

Do not order by the shared nickname alone. Deauther32 MINI is a board family; Deauther32 Watch MINI is a watch. Deauther32 Ultra is a wireless development and assessment platform; White Ducky Ultra is a USB automation device. Confirm the full model name and intended purpose.
