What is it?

The DSTIKE ESP32 Walkie Talkie is a fully assembled, open-source voice communication device built around the ESP32-WROOM-DA module.

Instead of using a conventional radio system, it transmits digital voice data directly between compatible devices using ESP-NOW. No Wi-Fi router or internet connection is required. Under open, low-interference, line-of-sight conditions, the communication range can reach approximately 150 meters.

This product was designed to help makers and beginners explore ESP-NOW through a practical, working device. The schematic and firmware source code are open-source, allowing experienced developers to modify the hardware and software, experiment with audio transmission, or turn it into a Wi-Fi-based intercom and other creative wireless communication projects.

Fully Assembled Maker Hardware

The device is delivered as an assembled finished product. It features a custom PCB, a 3D-printed enclosure, a transparent acrylic front panel, and 3D-printed control switches.

A 1.3-inch display shows the current operating information, including the selected channel and volume status. Three brown control buttons provide access to 10 preset channels and volume adjustment:

  • Short press to change the operating channel
  • Long press to adjust the speaker volume

The large red PTT button provides simple push-to-talk operation.

RGB Status Indicator

A built-in RGB LED clearly shows the current operating state:

  • Green: Standby and ready
  • Red: PTT pressed and voice signal transmitting
  • Blue: Voice signal received and playing through the speaker

Battery and Charging

The ESP32 Walkie Talkie includes a built-in rechargeable 2500mAh 18650 battery.

Four individual LEDs provide a clear battery-level indication, while the charging circuit supports an input of up to 5V/1.5A.
