Standalone USB HID Automation Platform with 64-Script Storage

DSTIKE White Ducky II is a compact ATmega32U4-based USB HID development tool designed for keyboard automation, programming education, software testing, security awareness, and authorized device assessment.

Compatible automation scripts are stored on the included 512MB TF card. A 6-position DIP switch provides up to 64 possible script selections, allowing different prepared workflows to be organized without recompiling the firmware each time.

Two versions are available:

  • White Ducky II: Standard TF-card and DIP-switch version

  • White Ducky II IR: Adds an infrared receiver and handheld remote for short-range, line-of-sight triggering of supported stored scripts

What Is White Ducky II?

The ATmega32U4 includes native USB functionality and can be recognized by compatible computers as a standard USB HID keyboard.

Instead of manually entering a repetitive sequence, White Ducky II can read a compatible text script from the TF card and reproduce the defined keyboard input on an authorized test system.

Possible legitimate uses include:

  • Repetitive keyboard-input automation

The device does not independently bypass passwords, unlock protected computers, decrypt information, or disable endpoint-security software.

Up to 64 Selectable Scripts

White Ducky II uses a 6-position DIP switch to select between as many as 64 script positions.

Because six binary switch positions provide 64 possible combinations, users can prepare different authorized workflows on one TF card and select the required position before connecting the device.

This design provides:

  • No need to recompile firmware for every script change

  • No need to carry several separate devices

  • Convenient organization of repeated laboratory tests

  • Offline operation without Wi-Fi or a cloud service

  • Easy replacement of script text files using a TF card reader

The actual number of usable scripts depends on file naming, TF-card formatting, firmware configuration, and whether the required script files are present.

Included 512MB TF Card

A 512MB TF card is included for storing compatible text scripts.

The available storage is much larger than normally required for keyboard-automation text files. Script capacity is limited primarily by the firmware’s 64 selectable positions rather than the card’s storage size.

For reliable operation:

  • Use a compatible FAT-formatted TF card

  • Keep a backup of important script files

  • Safely eject the card before removing it from a computer

  • Do not remove the card while a script is being read

  • Use the required file names and folder structure

  • Avoid untrusted script files

Changing or reformatting the included TF card may remove the original files.

RGB Status Indicator

The onboard RGB LED provides basic TF-card status information:

  • Green: The TF card has been detected and is operating normally

  • Red: The TF card is missing, unreadable, incorrectly formatted, or has another card-related problem

Additional LED behavior may depend on the installed firmware version.

If the red indicator remains active, check that the TF card is fully inserted and that its format and file structure are compatible with the firmware.

Standard and IR Versions

White Ducky II

The standard version includes:

  • ATmega32U4-based White Ducky II

  • 6-position DIP switch

This version is recommended for users who want simple offline script selection without wireless controls.

White Ducky II IR

The IR version includes the same core hardware plus:

  • Integrated infrared receiver

  • Handheld infrared remote control

  • Short-range triggering of supported stored scripts

Infrared control requires a reasonably clear line of sight between the remote and receiver. Range can be affected by lighting, angle, obstacles, remote-battery condition, and surrounding infrared interference.

The IR remote is not Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, or internet-based remote access. It cannot control the device through walls or over long distances.

Remote-control battery inclusion may depend on the shipping destination and package batch.

Ducky Script-Style Text Commands

White Ducky II supports a simplified Ducky Script-style text format for defining keyboard input, shortcuts, text strings, and timing.

Compatibility may vary between firmware versions. Scripts written for other devices or newer language versions may require editing before they work correctly.

Factors that can affect script behavior include:

  • Operating system

  • Keyboard language and layout

  • Application startup time

  • Computer performance

  • User-account permissions

  • Locked or logged-out system state

  • Endpoint-security software

  • USB device-control policies

  • Timing values used by the script

White Ducky II is an independent DSTIKE product and is not presented as an official Hak5 device.

No Wi-Fi Required

Unlike WiFi Duck, White Ducky II does not use an ESP8266 or browser-based script interface.

Scripts are stored directly on the TF card, providing:

  • Fully offline operation

  • No wireless configuration

  • No hotspot password to manage

  • No browser compatibility requirements

  • Simple physical script selection

  • Reduced setup for repeated laboratory workflows

Choose WiFi Duck instead if you specifically need browser-based script editing and local 2.4GHz Wi-Fi management.

ATmega32U4 Development Platform

White Ducky II can also be used as an ATmega32U4 development platform.

Experienced users can create compatible custom firmware for applications such as:

Firmware modification is not required for ordinary script editing. Most users should edit only the compatible text files on the TF card.
