What is it?
The Deauther Watch Z II is a refined successor to the original Watch Z. It combines a portable 2.4GHz wireless evaluation interface, OLED display, external antenna, expandable GPIO header, and programmable USB HID automation in a compact wearable design. It is designed for makers, developers, educators, and security researchers working on wireless protocol learning, authorized network evaluation, hardware expansion, and repeatable computer automation.
Why did we make it?
The Watch Z II focuses on practical hardware improvements while keeping the familiar Watch Z form factor. The charging indicator is now easier to see, the control layout has been simplified, the expansion header is more convenient for future modules, and the new DIP switch provides quick access to a larger automation-script library.
What’s New in Z II?
Easier-to-see charging indicator
The charging-status LEDs have been moved next to the antenna, making the battery status easier to check at a glance:
- Red: Charging
- Green: Fully charged
Simplified button layout
The four metal buttons used on the previous model have been replaced with two compact tactile buttons:
- RESET
- IO11
This creates a cleaner control layout while retaining essential hardware access.
Expansion-ready pin header
The female expansion header provides the following connections:
- SDA
- SCL
- IO4
- IO12
- GND
- 3V3
These pins make it easier to connect compatible I²C or GPIO modules for future development, including optional infrared-sensor projects. Optional modules and related firmware are not included unless otherwise specified.
Up to 64 automation profiles
The new DIP switch allows users to select from up to 64 user-prepared USB HID automation profiles. This makes it convenient to organize different development, testing, presentation, configuration, and repetitive workflow scripts without constantly replacing files.
