DSTIKE Christmas Tree MP3 is a fully functional, open-source music player built in the shape of a Christmas tree.
At the top of the board, an ESP32-WROOM-DA-N16 dual-antenna module forms the “star.” A 1.54-inch IPS display, addressable RGB LEDs, dedicated I2S audio hardware and a built-in speaker turn the PCB into an interactive holiday decoration for makers, developers and electronics enthusiasts.
The device arrives fully assembled with a 1000mAh rechargeable battery and an SD card, ready for music playback after charging.
Limited ESP32-WROOM-DA Edition
The ESP32-WROOM-DA module has officially reached End of Life and is no longer recommended for new production designs.
This edition was created as a functional tribute to its distinctive dual-antenna design. Production is limited by the remaining supply of original ESP32-WROOM-DA-N16 modules. Once the available stock has been used, this exact hardware edition will not be reproduced.
“EOL” refers to the production status of the ESP32-WROOM-DA module. It does not mean that the product is used, defective or non-functional.
Two Playback Modes
SD Card MP3 Player
Play compatible MP3 files directly from the included SD card.
The card is preloaded with royalty-free holiday music, so the device can be used without connecting it to a phone. You can also replace the included tracks with your own compatible audio files.
Bluetooth Speaker
Switch to Bluetooth mode and use the Christmas Tree MP3 as a wireless speaker for a compatible phone, tablet or computer.
Bluetooth range and connection stability depend on the connected device, nearby wireless activity and the surrounding environment.
Music-Reactive RGB Lighting
Addressable WS2812B RGB LEDs are arranged across the tree-shaped PCB and can display colorful lighting effects while music plays.
The LEDs work together with the on-screen spectrum visualization to create a compact audio-visual display. Because the project is open source, developers can modify the lighting patterns, colors and animation behavior.

PCB Design
The exposed green PCB forms the body of the Christmas tree and features decorative snowflake artwork.
The dual-antenna shape of the ESP32-WROOM-DA module is incorporated into the top of the design, while the RGB LEDs act as programmable tree lights. The included 3D-printed stand allows the board to be displayed upright on a desk, shelf or workbench.
