Classic ESP8266 Wi-Fi Development Watch

The DSTIKE Deauther Watch X II is a compact, open-source ESP8266 development device designed for makers, wireless technology education, firmware development, and authorized 2.4 GHz network assessment.

It combines a customized 4MB ESP-07 module, 1.3-inch OLED display, 700mAh rechargeable battery, USB-C connectivity, three-way navigation switch, RGB LED, clock display, and protective enclosure in a lightweight wearable format.

The Watch X II supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. It does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi.

What Is It?

The Deauther Watch X II is an ESP8266 development board integrated into a wearable enclosure.

It arrives with compatible ESP8266 Deauther firmware installed, providing an interface for wireless network scanning, packet monitoring, signal observation, clock display, and controlled protocol assessment on authorized 2.4 GHz networks.

Because the hardware is based on the open-source ESP8266 platform, developers can also replace the supplied firmware using the Arduino IDE and repurpose the device for custom wearable, display, LED, sensor, or IoT projects.

Why Did We Make It?

The original Deauther Watch X provided an affordable way to learn about ESP8266 wireless development in a portable format.

The Watch X II updates the original design with:

  • USB-C connectivity

  • A larger 700mAh battery

  • Improved enclosure hardware

  • Socket hex screws

  • Updated RGB LED hardware

  • A more accessible 3D-printed power control

  • The same compact ESP8266 development platform

The result is a practical entry-level device for users who want to explore ESP8266 programming and 2.4 GHz wireless technology without the size or complexity of a larger development tool.

What Makes It Special?

  • Customized 4MB ESP-07 Module: Provides a familiar ESP8266 development environment with sufficient flash storage for compatible firmware.

  • 1.3-Inch OLED Display: Shows menus, network information, packet-monitoring data, clock information, and operating status.

  • Three-Way Navigation Switch: Scroll up, scroll down, and confirm selections with one compact control.

  • Built-In 700mAh Battery: Supports portable operation without an external battery holder.

  • USB-C Connectivity: Provides a modern connection for charging and firmware flashing.

  • RGB Status LED: Delivers programmable visual feedback for device status and custom applications.

  • Built-In Ceramic Antenna: Keeps the standard version compact without requiring an external antenna.

  • Optional Antenna Expansion Board: Provides additional hardware flexibility for compatible external antenna projects.

  • Open-Source Firmware Support: Compatible with the ESP8266 Deauther ecosystem and custom Arduino firmware.

  • Protective Enclosure: A 3D-printed case and transparent acrylic panel protect the circuit board while keeping the internal hardware visible.
